Baby Potato with peas (Notun Aloo aar Motorsutir Dum)




Ingredients :

Baby Potatoes..................................................200 grams
Onion paste......................................................2 tbsp
Peas,boiled.......................................................100 grams
Green Chilly Paste............................................1 tsp
Ginger -Garlic paste.........................................1 tbsp
Tomato paste...................................................2 tbsp
Turmeric powder..............................................1/2 tsp
Salt..................................................................to taste
Sugar...............................................................1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder............................................1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder.....................................1/4 tsp
Ghee................................................................1 tsp
Mustard Oil/Refined Oil....................................2 tbsp
Bay Leaves.......................................................2
Green chilly,slit..................................................2
Coriander leaves...............................................1

Method :

Peel the baby potatoes and wash well under running water and then put to boil.
Boil the peas till soft and keep aside.

Heat the oil and ghee together and fry the potatoes.
When they turn reddish add bay leaves. Stir a bit and then add the onion paste .

When its well fried, add the ginger-garlic, green chilly pastes and stir fry till oil rises to the top. 

Then add the tomato paste and fry for 5 more minutes. 

Add the powdered spices and mix. Fry for 5 minutes and add the boiled peas. Mix.

Garnish with coriander and split chilly.
