Methi Chicken(fenugreek chicken)


Methi Chicken



Ingredients :

Chicken                                                            1/2 kg
Oil                                                                     2 tsp
Fenugreek(methi)Leaves                                    1/2 kg
Garlic,grated                                                      1 tsp
Ginger,grated                                                      1 tsp
Onion,Chopped                                                  1
Cumin Powder                                                    1 tsp
Red Chilly Powder                                             1 tsp
Salt                                                                    1 1/2 tsp
Water                                                                1 cup
Tomato,grated                                                    3
Garam Masala Powder                                       1/2 tsp

To Garnish
Curd,beaten (Optional)                                       1 tbsp


Methi chicken



Method :

To make Methi (Fenugreek)chicken,heat oil in a pan.Put chopped onions and stir till the onions turn light brown.Add ginger and garlic and stir..Add cumin powder,red chilly powder,salt,water and tomatoes and cook it for sometime.
Mix chicken pieces with red chilly powder,cumin powder salt and add this to the spices being cooked in the pan.Roast chicken pieces on high flame.
Put fenugreek leaves and stir it while cooking till fenugreek leaves turn dry.
Add curd and water, cover the pan and cook it for 15 minutes on medium flame
Remove cover and add garam masala powder in the end.
Serve in a platter, garnished with beaten curd, but I have omitted the garnish this one time.
