Brown Rice Pulao

A healthy diet can do more than just keep you fit. It can ensure that you have good health, a crowning glory,good shinning skin and eyes. So for all these, make sure you get enough nutrition. A well balanced meal with the right amount of fruits and vegetables will give your body the vitamins and antioxidants they need.Nuts and seeds provide minerals and vitamins. Lean protein provides iron . Soya products give our health a good boost, so try soya milk and soya nuts as well. Do have a healthy balanced diet.

Ingredients :

Brown Rice                                1 1/2 cups
Garlic,chopped                           8 cloves
Green Chillies,chopped               2
Carrots,cubed                             1 medium size
French Beans                              4 (1/2 inch pieces)
Cauliflower,florets                       8
Coriander Leaves,chopped         1 1/2 cups
Mint Leaves,chopped                  1 1/2 cups
Olive Oil                                     1 tbsp
Cinnamon Stick                           1 inch
Green Cardamoms                      3
Cloves                                        8
Salt                                            as per taste
Water/Vegetable Stock              4 1/2 cups


Method :
In a blender blend mint,coriander, garlic and green chillies together to make a smooth paste.            
Take basmati brown rice and soak in water.
Take a flat pan and heat some oil. Add 3 green cardamoms, 8 cloves, 1 stick cinamon and 1 tsp finely chopped ginger and saute till good smell starts coming.Add  the cubed carrots,  florets of cauliflower, soaked brown rice. Stir all in well on high flame.
Add3 tbsps of the green paste made from Mint, coriander,garlic and green chillies.Add salt .
Then add the water or vegetable stalk.
Brown rice needs a whole lot of water.When rice is quite soft,  add the chopped beans, cover and cook. Let it get soft.
Serve the pulao hot.
