This recipe is very simple and I adopted it to suit my taste.
The spice mix, I got home one evening on my visit to Mac Donald's with my kids and decided to use with prawns to make this starter.
The piri piri prawn is one well traveled dish and it takes its name from the blistering hot Piri Piri Chilly born in South America. It has worked its way into the hearts of millions across the world.
You can make your own Piri Piri spice mix at home:

1 1/2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed1 teaspoon ground ginger1 teaspoon ground cardamom1 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon onion powder1/2 teaspoon salt1/2 teaspoon ground piri-piri pepper or cayenne pepper
